Two very different things.
We design shirts. They are for the consensual nonmonogamy-type folks in the world. We specialize in the Vixen and Stag dynamic, which is a type of hotwife-focused relationship.

Occasionally a vanilla person will buy a hotwife shirt from our catalog because they have no clue about hotwifing or simply think it is such a small and unknown thing that it doesn’t matter.
Usually, it is through one of the POD sites we use like RedBubble , Tee Public, or our Spreadshop because a person can run into our designs on these sites without actually being into hotwifing while browsing or through searches.
So, a guy bought some shirts as a gift for his wife. Hotwife shirts because he considers her a “Hot Wife” and he figured “Hotwife” was the way to go because he liked the shirts and he is a proud man when it comes to his landing such a Hot Wife.
Hot Wife vs Hotwife… Yep, it is funny, but he ended up writing us to tell us that he bought these shirts and it changed their lives.
No, she isn’t a Hotwife now because of her Hotwife shirts.
She is a naughty talker though.
Basically he got her these shirts as a gift and she (who is an exceptionally attractive woman) did wear them. She even wore them on a regular basis.
Over the course of a few months these shirts had lead to a few very strange interactions with a few men, a few couples, and a woman who was a Hotwife. Hotwife, not just Hot Wife.
These strange (to her) interactions caused her and her husband to do some research.
The idea was weird and fun to them, but nothing they’d do. They did talk about it some in the fantasy sense however, and it became an added bit of flirty role play for them.
Since their learning about hotwifing she regularly points out guy’s she finds attractive. At night she talks dirty with her husband about what she’d do while they are involved sexually.
His Hot Wife has become hotter to both him and to herself, and their lovemaking has become hotter.

I thought it an awesome story.
She likes to wear these shirts and it makes her feel sexy and naughty. She wonders how many people who see them know what it’s about. If on rare occasion she gets a proposition or the shirt instigates a conversation she often plays along as if she is an actual Hotwife, but says her husband is the picker of men. When she doesn’t go that rout she just says her husband bought her the shirt because he always says how hot she is. This allows her to wear the shirts anywhere and anytime, which is what she’d been doing in the first place before she found out what a Hotwife was.
False advertising, but still fun in my mind.
I have no clue what the guy originally purchased as gifts for his wife, but the three he ordered along with his email were pretty simple and just said “Hotwife” in various ways. These were what he selected.
Hot Wife vs Hotwife lines are being blurred with this couple and it is fun for them. My Vixen agrees it is cool that we were able to spice up the vanilla folks without pushing them over the line. She however says that if they are fantasizing about it on a regular basis it may just be a matter of time. I’m unsure about that. Many people keep fantasies just fantasies and hotwifing isn’t for everyone.
Anyways, with a post title like ‘Hot Wife vs Hotwife’ I suppose I should spell out the difference for those who may have accidently stumbled upon this page.
To call a woman a “Hot Wife” is to say that she is a physically attractive married woman. She is a desirable woman that eyes love to see, and she is also married. That is basically it.
A Hotwife on the other hand is a woman involved in a consensual non-monogamous relationship of a specific type. She is a married woman or at the very least in a committed relationship, but has the freedom to have sexual relationships with others, with her partner’s knowledge and usually encouragement.
There are various ways the hotwife relationship can play out, but in some fashion it involves her having sex with other men besides only in a partner swapping scenario.
The hotwife may do that as well, but it isn’t part of hotwifing.
We (the people behind the designs) are in a hotwife type relationship. We identify as a Vixen and a Stag. We do swing as well, but primarily our focus is on hotwifing in a specific way that puts us into the Vixen and Stag world.
